MORNING SHIFT DUTIES:

• When entering lock door behind you.
• Set safe
• Make Coffee
• Open safe, put money in register. Lottery in dispenser.
• Sign on Lotto Machine.
• Take out garbage cans and rugs.
• Turn on lights-unlock doors for business.
• Take cooler and freezer temperatures.
• Keep safe locked.
• Wipe front doors and frames, freezer tops.
• Bag ice
• Keep Pepsi and coffee area clean and stocked.
• Keep sidewalk and parking area clean
• Keep counters clean.
• Clean merchandise and shelves, bring merchandise to front and shelf and line merchandise up.
• Fill cooler.
• Stock cigarette rack.
• Take out trash.
• Sweep and mop and empty dirty mop water.
• Take temperature readings at 3 p.m.

EVENING DUTIES:

• Keep safe locked.
• Bag ice
• Keep Pepsi and coffee area clean and stocked.
• Clean shelves and merchandise - put back, lined up and fronted.
• Keep counters clean.
• Fill cooler
• Stock cigarette racks.
• Sweep parking area and sidewalk, and gas island
• Sweep and mop, empty mop water outside and rinse mop.
• Clean restroom and stock with paper towels, soap and toilet tissue.
• Take out trash
• Empty coffee pot and rinse.
• Bring in trash cans and rugs
• Take temperatures at 11 p.m.
• Take Lotto sales reports and credit card reports
• Put Lottery tickets and lottery keys in safe. Leave register open at night.
• Turn off lights except night lights.
• Close back door and turn on alarm.
• Lock door as you leave.

DUTIES TO BE DONE WHEN 2 PEOPLE ARE WORKING:

• Defrost freezers.
• Scrub sidewalk.
• Clean Pepsi fountain.
• Clean and straighten cooler.
• Clean ice merchandiser and maker.
• Clean behind all displays
• Clean gas island & pumps
• Clean windows
• Clean coffee maker
• Clean trash cans
• Clean back room
• Change a/c filters as needed (Summer approx. every 2 weeks)
• Clean condensers and vents on freezers

Co-Free Inc, Jiffy Food Stores first began business in Jasper, Florida on July 21, 1965.  A business with family members James E. Cochran and William L. Freeman grew from 1965 and still exists today.  Through the years our company has expanded into five surrounding counties.  We currently have 13 locations which employees 65 people that serve our customers 365 days a year in Suwannee, Madison, Taylor, Lafayette, and Gilchrist counties.  Our locations offer a friendly atmosphere for our customers to shop in.

In 2003 William L. Freeman moved from Vice-President to President of Co-Free Inc.

Our corporate office was located in Ocala, Florida since 1965.  In July 2010 the corporate office was relocated to Live Oak.  With the office closer we have better communication with our employees and customers.  Our office is open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
